.We are looking for a motivated Head of IT to lead the infrastructure, security, QA, and operations teams that support our mobile commerce platform. This is an opportunity for someone with a wide-ranging technical background in conjunction with a strong managerial background, to direct and advise the technical teams behind our industry-changing platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of infrastructure, both physical and cloud, driving key architectural decisions and ensuring consistent quality, stability and scalability.
  • Creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards, processes and procedures to meet both customer and industry security guidelines.
  • Responsible for leading team through annual PCI audits.
  • Directing operations in executing tasks to meet both internal and customer-driven deployments on a timely and efficient basis.
  • Managing and reviewing all hardware, software, and other related infrastructure components; negotiating contracts with vendors and managing those relationships.
  • Managing both front-end and back-end QA teams and leading efforts in automation.
  • Coordinating across teams supporting both internal and customer needs.
  • Finding ways to increase team efficiency and productivity wherever possible.
  • Developing and mentoring engineers.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years managing infrastructures both physical and cloud-based. Must have at least 3+ years managing high scale, high availability cloud infrastructure (either AWS or Azure).
  • Led teams through PCI compliance at least twice.
  • 3+ years managing QA teams and successful automation projects, with a current perspective on automation tools.
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams to deliver complex products/platforms.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and respond to customer demands/needs.
  • Ideal candidates have worked in both large companies and start-up environments and have worked on smaller products/platforms that grew to large scale.
  • Experience with Linux, Windows, network, database, engineering, security.
  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, SASS or LESS, JS, Grails, Groovy, Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience developing RESTful web services preferred.
  • 3+ years working with database and managing DBAs- MS-SQL/MySQL. NoSQL a plus.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and encryption.
  • BS/MS in computer science or related field and 5+ years of technical work experience.
